Frequently Asked Help & Support Questions

Form W-2s & 1099s

Printed Copies: Your employer should provide your Form W-2 and 1099 by January 31. Read more in our Form W-2 and 1099 Guide for Employees.

Online Access: If your current employer has given you online access to view your pay information, you can log into signin.adp.com to view your W-2 online. If you have not previously logged into an ADP product with your current employer, please ask your company Human Resources or Payroll department for the registration code to sign up for online access. ADP cannot provide you with a registration code.

Form W-2 Errors/Issues

Questions / Errors: If you have questions about your Form W-2 or Form 1099, or the information on your form is incorrect, please contact your company’s Payroll or HR department, or read our Form W-2 and 1099 Guide for Employees.

There is an error with my tax withholdings. Who should I contact? We’re sorry to learn you’ve encountered an error. As a first step, please contact your employer’s HR or payroll department. Because ADP payroll platforms are administered by employers, they should be able to review your information and answer any questions — and make corrections if necessary.

Form 1095-C

Printed Copies: Your employer should provide your Form 1095-C on or around January 31st. Read more in our Form 1095-C Guide for Employees.

Errors: If the information on your Form 1095-C is incorrect, please contact your company’s Payroll or HR department.

ADP Paystub / Paycheck

Questions / Errors: Please contact your employer’s payroll department. They are the only ones that can correct any errors on your paycheck. To protect your privacy, ADP is not authorized to access your payroll information.

Online Access: If your company has given you online access to view your paycheck, login at signin.adp.com. If you have never logged in before, ask your employer if they allow online access and request the registration code to sign up. Only your employer can give you online payroll access. ADP cannot provide you with a registration code.

I have a new job, but when I log in to view my paystub, my former employer’s information is displayed. How do I fix this? We understand how this could raise questions — especially when your new employer and former employer both use ADP. We recommend contacting your new employer’s manager or HR department. They should be able to get you set up with a new login that allows you to access your current account and payroll information.

I haven’t received my paycheck or direct deposit yet. Who can help? We know it can be upsetting when your pay is delayed. In some cases, this may be due to a temporary delay with the financial institution. As a first step, please contact your employer’s payroll department. They should be able to provide an update and an estimate on when your paycheck or direct deposit will arrive.

Login and Technical Issues

Trouble Logging In?

  • Never logged in before?
    • If you have never logged in before, ask your employer if they allow online access and request the registration code to sign up. Only your employer can give you online payroll access. ADP cannot provide you with a registration code.
  • Trouble logging in?
    • If you have previously logged in with your current employer, access your account at signin.adp.com.
    • Your employer controls your access to the portal so if you are unable to access your account, please contact your company Payroll or HR department for assistance.

My phone number changed, so I can’t recover my account with two-factor authentication. What should I do? We’re sorry to learn you’re encountering this issue. As a first step, please contact your employer’s (or former employer’s, if applicable) HR or payroll department. Because ADP payroll platforms are administered by employers, they should be able to assist you with authentication and access to your account.

I have a new job, but when I log in to view my paystub, my former employer’s information is displayed. How do I fix this? We understand how this could raise questions — especially when your new employer and former employer both use ADP. We recommend contacting your new employer’s manager or HR department. They should be able to get you set up with a new login that allows you to access your current account and payroll information.

Locked Out

Locked Out? If you exceed the number of login attempts, please contact your employer’s payroll or HR contact for assistance. Your privacy is valued and for your protection, ADP is not authorized to reset your portal access. If your administrator is unsure how to reset your access, please have them contact their service center for help.

We’d like to help, but because ADP payroll platforms are administered by employers, contacting your employer’s HR or payroll department is the best first step for inquiries and troubleshooting issues. This includes login problems, timekeeping issues, and questions about topics like payroll, taxes, and overtime.
