Employee engagement has significant impact on midsized businesses in terms of productivity and retention. In a recent survey of midsized business owners and executives, ADP found that 76% expressed some degree of concern about employee engagement, and two out of five expressed high levels of concern—a 25% spike since 2012.
And while the survey found that the vast majority of participants believed engagement is important to an organization’s success, only slightly more than half felt they currently have a good, repeatable process to facilitate employee engagement.
