ADP® is proud to once again join founding partner American Express in supporting Small Business Saturday®, a day when we are encouraged to "shop small®" at local small businesses — and those found online — to help jump-start the holiday shopping season. Small Business Saturday falls on November 26 this year. Since its launch six years ago, Small Business Saturday has become a national movement that spotlights small businesses and their major impact on the economies of our local communities and our nation.

ADP is proud to serve approximately 500,000 small business clients. We especially appreciate the impact small businesses have on the economy. For example, according to our Small Business Report published by the ADP Research Institute®, small businesses created more than 680,000 jobs — nearly 40 percent of all jobs added so far this year. There's no doubt that our clients and other small businesses are a key driver of economic growth.

Last year, shoppers supported neighborhood stores more than ever: 95 million people shopped at small businesses for the holidays and spent more than $16.2 billion — a 14 percent increase over 2015(1). I encourage you to spread the word and "shop small" on Saturday, November 26 — and every day!
