Neena Shukla

Neena Shukla is the government contracting team leader for PBMares, a full service accounting, tax and consulting firm, and is based in the DC Metro area. Her areas of specialization include government contracting, construction contractors, employee benefit plans, real estate, Securities and Exchange Commission consulting and working with companies in the field of technology. She brings specialized knowledge of key accounting issues such as employee stock compensation, equity transactions and software revenue recognition to clients. She also leads the technical and emerging issues group at her firm, keeping on top of all the new guidance issued. As a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Forensic CPA (FCPA) she also specializes in providing consulting engagements focusing on forensics and fraud investigation and analysis. In 2012, Virginia Business Magazine named her a "Super CPA" for her work in the Assurance Services practice category. A licensed certified public accountant, Neena graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Wales in Swansea (U.K.). In addition to being a CPA, Neena has also earned the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and regularly writes articles and blogs.
