Matt Farwell

President, Small Business, Retirement and Insurance Services

Matt Farwell is the President of Small Business, Retirement and Insurance Services for ADP. In this role, he leads a team responsible for supporting the more than 900,000 small businesses that rely on ADP’s service and expertise to support their people and realize their entrepreneurial dreams. Focused on solving small business owners’ biggest challenges, his team delivers simple, unified solutions for payroll, HR and benefits so small business owners can remain focused on their core operations every day.

Having helped run a family-owned small business, Matt is passionate about removing the burden human capital management commonly places on entrepreneurs. Matt joined ADP in 2002, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Small Business Services, where he oversaw all business operations. He led the implementation, service and operations teams with a focus on simplifying and modernizing ADP’s service delivery in a comprehensive and holistic way – keeping the needs of small businesses at the center of each decision made.

Prior to this role, Matt served as a Regional General Manager for small business payroll and HR solutions as well as ADP’s time and labor management suite. He was responsible for driving growth and launching new workforce management tools to help small businesses manage their people, simplify their payroll cycle and control unnecessary labor costs. Beginning his career at ADP as a staff accountant, Matt quickly advanced into operational leadership roles in 2010, holding various service, implementation and general management positions. Through his experience at ADP, Matt has played an integral role in the rapid expansion of ADP’s Small Business Services organization.

A growth-focused leader with an innovative mindset, Matt combines strategic thinking, deep financial insight and operational knowledge to drive growth. He’s passionate about fostering a collaborative work environment that enables teams and individuals to perform at their best and strongly believes in giving back to the communities he serves.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming.
