Women at Work 2024: Inspiring Change Through Must-Have Conversations

A group of women in a work meeting

The fourth annual ADP Women at Work virtual summit, now available on demand, provides insights into some of the most pressing topics affecting women in the workforce today: generational shifts and differences, the use of data and generative artificial intelligence (AI) and strategies for mental wellness.

The workforce has undergone significant transformation over the past several years, marked by shifts in workplace dynamics, organizational responses to generational changes and the swift integration of emerging technologies.

As women's impact across the professional sphere grows, it remains crucial for people in every career stage to identify and uplift women in leadership and develop effective strategies for addressing institutionalized barriers, bridging generational differences and making the most of data and generative AI.

The fourth annual ADP Women at Work virtual summit, offers an opportunity to explore these areas. HR and business leaders and other experts from some of the world's leading organizations will provide insight and lead discussions around the summit's theme: Redefining the Workforce of Tomorrow.

What's in store at this year's Women at Work?

This complimentary summit allows women around the world to tap into fresh perspectives, participate in active discussions and learn about strategic ways to create lasting inclusive and equitable change. When empowered with knowledge and best practices, women can play a more active role in shaping the future of the workforce as well as their individual futures.

Here are the sessions scheduled for the summit:

Beyond the boardroom with Maria Black

Taking the stage will be ADP President and CEO Maria Black. She'll engage in a thought-provoking conversation with Njeri Nginyo, ADP's vice president, assistant general counsel and chairwoman of ADP's Women in Leadership group, on innovation and women in the workplace.

A multigenerational discussion on Gen Z

Generation Z — the population born in the late 1990s and early 2000s — is a fast-growing section of the active workforce. Like other generations before them, members of Gen Z bring different and sometimes new challenges and needs to the workforce. A multi-generational panel will explore the perspectives surrounding the differences in viewpoints and work expectations between Gen Zers and other generations in the workforce and discuss Gen Z women in the workforce, specifically.

A forward-looking session on data and generative AI

Attendees are invited to ask questions as expert panelists talk about the role of data and generative AI in women's experiences with inclusion, flexibility and career development in the workplace. Technology can offer a chance to gain ground in helping to ensure a more equitable workforce. In this session, participants can explore how to wield data- and AI-driven tools to address bias, develop opportunities, support employees in new ways and navigate the future of work.

Meetup on mental wellness strategies

Supporting mental wellness in the workplace is critical. This discussion will center on identifying strategies to navigate common struggles for women, such as bias and underrepresentation. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences with issues such as pay inequity, imposter syndrome and discrimination with the goal of learning from each other.
