Disaster Relief Efforts
Natural disasters and other accidents can be life changing and devastating to individuals, families, neighborhoods and even entire cities. ADP and our associates are always prepared and willing to help support the victims of disaster through monetary and volunteer aid.
2013 Philippine Typhoon Yolanda
The 2013 Philippine Typhoon Yolanda: ADP associates and The ADP Foundation donated more than $275,000 to Oxfam International and the American Red Cross® to aid the devastated area of the Philippines. ADP Manila volunteers prepared 1,000 emergency care packages that were distributed to 1,000 Philippine families impacted by the powerful storm. ADP offices throughout the world organized food and clothing drives distributed through the Red Cross® and other local agencies.
Superstorm Sandy: During 2012, ADP and its associates actively supported relief efforts in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, which affected more than 30 percent of ADP’s U.S. workforce. The ADP Foundation directly contributed $500,000 to the American Red Cross® to help those in the areas of greatest need by supplying items including shelter, water and food. In addition, several ADP offices throughout the U.S. held food and clothing drives and organized fundraisers to help the victims of the storm.
2011 Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami
The 2011 Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami: The ADP Foundation provided a 100 percent match to associate donations through Mercy Corps® resulting in $325,772 to aid the devastated area.
The 2010 Haiti Earthquake
The 2010 Haiti Earthquake: The combined donations of associates and the ADP Foundation’s full 100 percent match resulted in our numerous charity partners receiving $554,858 to aid Haiti and the earthquake’s victims.
In the past 5 years, ADP, our associates and The ADP Foundation have given over $27 million to support charitable organizations, recovery efforts of major catastrophes around the world.
