It is ADP's policy to help develop the infrastructure of women-owned, minority-owned and small business-based companies with a goal of broadening the scope and breadth of service that they can offer. Background

Small business, minority, women-owned and other diverse companies are faced with a changing business climate. Corporate America has trended towards limiting the number of suppliers that they use, thereby allowing them to leverage their purchasing strength and reducing their overall expenditures, creating yet another obstacle that these types of businesses often face. Without the scale and access to capital that larger vendors currently have, it is difficult for these suppliers to compete in such a marketplace. In response, ADP is an advocate of the Supplier Diversity Initiative.
