After Sales closes the deal with a client, I meet with the owners of the company, go through the timeline of the implementation process and make sure they fully understand how it works. Then I go over benefits and features with the client’s employees. I’m responsible for getting them enrolled in benefits and overseeing their payroll, benefits and 401k processes to ensure they are up and running smoothly. I work with the client for the first 60 to 90 days and act as their employee/employer advocate so they will understand how ADP will impact their day-to-day operations.  When we are ready to transition them to their permanent rep, they understand the impact on processes.

Here, you’re part of a team. Everyone has an open door policy, and they’re willing to help one another. It really is a nurturing environment, where you’re encouraged to grow, and the company prefers to promote from within. With training courses, tuition reimbursement and lots of opportunities for advancement, ADP is in my opinion the employer of choice.

The flexibility to balance my personal life with my professional life means a lot to me. The company truly wants people to enjoy non-work activities, because it makes you a better employee. So they offer things like flex time and opportunities to work from home. ADP has a robust perks program in place that puts the company over the edge. I can easily see myself retiring here.

Prior to ADP, I had come from a work environment that was not employee friendly.  I was in a sales position, and when I walked into the office there was a lot of negative energy. This place is 180 degrees different. ADP is a company where employees have a purpose, where they feel valued. I’ll never forget the first time I was recognized in the TotalSource Quarterly Magazine as a Top 10 implementation associate. Within minutes of getting a copy, managers and sales reps were calling and emailing, congratulating me on being recognized.  It made me feel like I belong here.

ADP encourages us to give back to the communities where we live, which is why I’m involved with a charity called Little Bits of Love. They provide school supplies, clothes, coats and hygiene products for kids in need. (So if I remind you to bring home the mini-shampoos and soaps from your travels, it’s for a very good cause!) I’m also involved in raising funds to build a much-needed new shelter for the Animal House.

Another of my favorite pastimes is Karaoke. It’s how I met my fiancée.  He was hosting the event one night, and I sang Son of a Preacher Man. It was love at first sight.

When we have time, we love going on road trips. We just point at a map and off we go.  My ideal trip would be cross-country — Portland, OR to Portland, ME. We really love Virginia Beach, too. And it’s a lot closer.
